The Railway Hotel (JD Wetherspoon), Lytham Town Centre, Lytham St. Annes

Smart and compact JDW pub, which on my Sunday lunchtime visit had 8 cask beers on and a Large(Large that is for the JDW chain, and it was also only their second week)and friendly barstaff. On entry after ascending a few steps past the outdoor drinking area, there are seating areas to the immediate left and right, with the L shaped bar slightly to the right beyond this.Past the bar and down a few few steps there is another small seated area which is accessible for wheelchairs via an outside door on the right. There are also a few prints and photos of trains ect but nothing to any excess. As with most JDW pubs i have found the toilets usually spotless, and the Railway Hotel is no exception,in fact i found them immaculate with the glazed pebbled tiles a quite impressive feature. To arrive at the Gents you have to manoeuvre several narrow flights of stairs, that seem to have more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie novel.

JD Wetherspoon opens 10th July and called The Railway Hotel (previously The Hansom Cab)

THE HANSOM CAB HAS BEEN BOUGHT BY WETHERSPOONS.
