The Duke of York, Fitzrovia, W1

Full of (now rebranded) McMullens Beers - so I assume it is a tied house. I didnt recognise the pump clips, which now say just McM, but when I saw AK - it all mad sense. Completely devoid of internal punters on a Monday night, with about 3 on the outside tables. A particularly handsome bar, with a single room running in a L shape around it.

This is no longer a Greene King Pub being acquired by a property developer back in 2018, which doesn't bode well but still functioning as a pub six years on . A rather nice small horseshoe shaped room wrapped around a central bar, traditionally furnished and much nicer than I was expecting despite the cask being a little pedestrian, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Alsops IPA and a turned Sharps Atlantic on the third handle. Despite being in the middle of Fitzrovia the pub had a quite pleasant locals feel about it, taking me off guard. I would have liked some more interesting cask but I quite enjoyed this pub.
