Roscoe Head, Liverpool

Visited on Friday. I believe the Roscoe Head opens at 11:30am, making it handy for those wanting to make an early start on a crawl. I arrived just before midday and there were already a couple of other gents in, enjoying conversation with each other and the chap behind the bar. Five of six hand pulls in active service at the time of my visit, the one that was unavailable being Tetleys Cask, so no great loss there. I went for the Fyne Avalanche, which was OK, but I suspect I may have done better with one of the others - Fyne Jarl, something by Salopian, Facers Plum Porter and TT Landlord. Three rooms: a small area to the left of the bar, a room to the right with four tables and a fireplace, and a further room opposite the bar. A friendly place, good variety of ales, and one I would be happy to return to.
