Lighthouse Inn, Wallasey

Large pub similar to a Spoons, which was packed on my visit with the Christmas fans. I'm a bah humbug regarding that time of year, so I didn't stay long in here. The beer choice was boring, 4 pumps with 3 on, Rocking Rudolph, GK IPA & Old Speckled Hen. Everyone seemed to be on the lager anyway. Screens dotted around showing the darts. Large outside seating area, which I would imagine is popular in the warmer months. Definitely not for me, this one.

The Lighthouse looks like a more modern pub,but i may be wrong. Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar to the right, the room is carpeted and has comfy bench seating and bucket chairs, the rear area is slightly raised. The pub is a Greene King tied house, but there was a good choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of GK Purple Reign which was a very nice drink, the other beers noted were Old Speckled Hen,GK IPA,GK,GK IPA Gold and Springhead Roaring Meg. Food was being served, but you can sit anywhere. The pub was very busy on my late Saturday afternoon visit. Pub visited 28/5/2016
