The Roebuck Inn, Burton On Trent Town, Burton on Trent

Handily placed for the station, the pub sign is topped by the ‘Hand’ logo used by Allied for their Ind Coope pubs, the symbol originally coming from the now revived Allsopp’s. As described, the interior exhibits some interesting green carved or moulded friezes around the interior perimeter. I didn’t imbibe here as it was a bit early, but all seemed tickety-boo and in all it would appear that it would make a great start to a crawl.

A good traditional pub with one long room featuring some nice ceramic work. Beers as BF describes below. Well worth a visit, especially being next to the station and opening at sensible times.

Next to the station and pretty much as Quinno describes, I counted eight handpumps on the bar offering up five beers on my visit, Abbot Ale Pedigree, Burton Ale, Bass and Oakham Bishops Farewell, I played safe with the Oakham beer and it was fine. Not by any means a classic pub but worth the look.
