Bees Knees, Carlisle

Carlisle’s BrewDog is long and thin with a central serving counter on the left-hand wall with the usual huge white beer board above the back bar, over 20 craft keg options were listed. There’s also a well-stocked beer fridge for those that think 20 beer draught beer options isn’t enough. On both sides of the counter there’s seating at the front and rear, and high tables run up the right-hand wall opposite. At the very rear are a couple of pool tables as well as some booth seating. I enjoyed the old timers background music, but the BrewDog adverts on the televisions throughout were a bit cringe. The bars of this chain don’t seem to be as busy as they once were, I’m not sure if the gimmick is wearing thin or if people just can’t afford the elevated prices anymore.
