A big Greene King pub on the market place, claiming to be the second oldest building in the town but the bar area is all a bit modernised and it still looks like an eatery although they have given up serving food. There is quite a nice patio area at the back. Apparently in the summer they only have IPA on handpump, adding Abbot in the autumn and sometimes a third brew in the winter. It didn't do a great deal for me but has the potential to be a good pub.

Called into this Greene King pub yesterday and found no Abbot, but they had IPA, London Glory, and Speckled Hen. We had the London Glory and got CAMRA discount, but it was not in the best condition. Very busy with food orders.
