Alan Winfield left this review about Mawney Arms
The Mawney Arms is a fairly large pub that is situtated on a busy road to the West of Romford town centre.
Once inside there is a decent sized single L shaped room with the bar facing, the floor is part carpeted and bare boarded, there is a mix of seating type with comfy bench seating and a few tall tables and chairs and plenty of normal tables and chairs.
The pub trades under the Ember Inns banner,so there was a decent choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Black Sheep Ember Ale which went down well, the other beers were Adnams Broadside and Doom Bar,there were a few pumps with waiting to condition signs on them.
Food is served but you can drink anywhere, there was background music playing and the TV was showing BBC news.
I found this to be a pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in.
