Quinno _ left this review about The Ashby Tavern
A few minutes up the hill from town. Fairly basic boozer which is modern and dull in style but kept well. Cask-wise, it was GK Abbot and a lacklustre Bass (NBSS 2) on. Friendly acid casualty barman and, with Oceanic subsequently coming on the stereo as well, I was pleased with my initial deduction. With time running short before the bus I decided to ditch the excess Bass and head back. 5.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Ashby Tavern
Reasonable locals boozer located towards the north-east edge of town, partly opened-out inside to leave a 'U'-shaped bar with a pool room beyond on one side and plenty of sports TVs. Given an unfussy, semi-modern refurbishment at some stage, and all tidy enough (albeit a bit spooked-up for Halloween). Also has a couple of benches out front. With two of the four handpumps in use, I found Doom Bar and Wainwright (£3.50) available.
