Tatty estate pub that's in desperate need of an overhaul. Pretty big inside and there's glimpses of former glory in the area round the back of the main bar. Just Pedi on cask which took a few pours to get something resembling fresh, clearly had been sat in a long pipe for many hours. The fact one of the punters said it was a fresh barrel - 'went on Friday!' - confirmed the barmaid as I sat there on a Monday afternoon, therefore rewriting the dictionary definition of fresh (NBSS 2, as it turns out). The fact there was a smattering of customers on a Monday means likely that a bit of investment here would pay off. It was at least doing a trade, unlike the nearby Tin Hat.
