I was surprised how busy many of Leicestershire's pubs were on a Tuesday evening. This one was busier than most, with a quiz about to start. The car park to the left of the pub, shared with the village's Co-Op was completely full. Bar areas are to the front of the pub, with 2 or 3 different sections. There is a dining room to the rear, although dining was ongoing throughout the pub. Flooring is a mixture of bare boards and carpet. There are a few pictures on the walls.

Being an Everard's pub, Tiger is the regular beer. They also had Odyssey and 2 unused handpulls. The cider is Inch's. Craft beers were Live Wire & Frequency. Service from the young barmaids was swift despite how busy it was.

Searching for a seat meant that I had a good wander around the pub but my search was in vain. I retreated outside to the left of the pub where there is a large outdoor patio, prepared to grab a table outside. However it had started to drizzle and there is no cover to be had. Even smokers were congregating around the doorway. There is a further garden area to the other side of the pub that I did not explore, as I spotted a solitary chair next to the bar and made a beeline for it.

Dogs are allowed in here, despite the food service and various events such as a Kids Halloween Disco are held. Christmas Lunch was also being promoted.

This pub was far too busy for my liking and the Odyssey was possibly my least favourite beer of the day. Clearly popular with those seeking a quiz though.

Everards pub with a nice outside beer garden. Higgledy-piggledy interior, old rooms with only small knock-throughs and space is a bit weird and awkward; you can be sat in a room only a few paces from the main bar but feel very cut-off from the atmosphere. Two Everards cask beers on, Tiger (NBSS 3.5) and Pharoah (4) so no arguments about the quality. Also a couple of their kegs. Ale quality means I’ll likely return. 6.5

The Blue Bell in in the centre of Desford and it is a decent looking pub from the outside.
Once inside there was a long narrow room at the front which opened out to the right this was the bar but i thought it was quite a nice comfortable room, there was also a restaurant area to the left and a lounge at the rear of the pub.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Everards Beacon bitter and this was quite a nice drink the other beers were Everards Tiger bitter and a guest beer from Bath Ales called Summer Haze.
I thought this was a very nice pub and i was quite happy having a drink in here.
