David Walton left this review about Corner (Tate Modern)
Visited 05/10/26. Visited the Terrace Bar previously on 18/01/23.
No cask. Keg offering of London Black from Anspach & Hobday, the Haze Free AF and the Haze NEIPA collabs between Tate and Drop Project, the Modern Cider also a collab between the Tate and Oliver's Cider, the Dest Pils from Beak, Arise from Burning Sky, the Sky Above pale ale from Left Handed Giant, the Eko Gold lager, the Eko Pils and the Eko Haze NEIPA all from Eko Brewery, the Singlefin lager from Harbour, the I Would Give Her Flowers Mexican lager and the Tender Thorns IPA both collabs with Verdant.
The Corner Bar is the primary, public bar in the Tate these days and it occupies a prime spot on the corner of the building on the South Bank. The Terrace Bar was in a different corner of the ground floor of the building and is now members only with no draught beer. The bar on the sixth (from memory) floor is also members only. It is bare boarded with a variety of seating options, benches serving tables, banquettes around perimeter serving tables, tall tables with stools that would be tricky to perch on after a few drinks, sofas serving tables plus tall stools serving drinking ledges around part of the large glass fronted perimeter. The bar counter sits in the middle of the floor space and has a ceramic tile skirt. No screens and a gentle background music soundtrack. There is some outside seating around the non-riverside side that was popular in the early evening sunshine on my visit.
