Old Boots left this review about The Bridge Hotel Vaults

GBG listed wedge shaped pub although the trading area is on the left side. The interior is entirely wood panelled in dark tones (new or reclaimed) with several alcoves set into it. The counter is on the right with four central pulls surrounded by some very decent kegs, a mix of German and UK. The casks are from Ossett, Burton Bridge and a cider, the fourth was being used as a menu stand. The only standard kegs are a Guinness Harp and a wobbly 00 Guinness. Up a few steps at the back is a dining room, an open kitchen and the toilets down a corridor to the right. Food is cheese, cold meats, jerk or curry chicken and is excellent. Tall seating or banquette in the corners. A nice pub with nice assorted beers and well worth a walk to the eastern end of the High Street.

The original hotel was closed in 1998 but a new pub has been created on just the ground floor of this beautiful Grade II listed building. It opened in November 2024.
