A nice little traditional town pub (the last one in the town), having just the one room with an outdoor area at the rear. It did have a sports TV but it was sensibly sized, as well as darts, quizzes and occasional live music, and generally felt like a well-run pub with a friendly barman. On the bar they have Black Sheep Best as a regular with changing guests, which were Abbot and TT Boltmaker with Bass following shortly. It also appeared to be the only conventional pub that opened at 11.00 as claimed.

Well worth a visit,good beer - Tim Taylors Boltmaker was my choice - locals great , they still have the meat auction , a [wrapped] haggis was sitting on the counter ! No sign of the resident canine. Choice of five beers and one cider. The decor and layout looked as if it had not changed from earlier descriptions but was clean and tidy.

Called in this pub that is listed in the 2019 Good Beer Guide yesterday. Busy town centre pub with a selection across the pumps. We hose Tring Ridgeway which was fine.
