Visited on a Friday afternoon at the end of July. Six hand pulls with five in service at the time of my visit. I went for the Otter Bitter at £2.80 for a half, the other available ales were Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, Black Sheep Blonde, Butcombe Original Beer and something else I appear not to have made a note of. There is a minimum £5 spend on card.

There is red leather banquette seating in front of the bar under the window, plus three small round wooden tables in this space with three stools. There is also a back room with further seating, similar in style with red leather banquettes, but this room is carpeted whereas the front room is not. It's a clean place with plenty of dark wood, looking traditional inside and out, a tiled floor in front of the bar, and a nice tiled exterior. White Star Line and other shipping posters are on the wall.

It was quiet at 12:15 or so, one guy had just left before I entered, and another entered later and was chatting with the mature barmaid. Another person or couple sat in the seating outside the front of the pub, where a few round metal tables can be found. Back inside, there are CCTV cameras everywhere!

Gents are downstairs and are of typical old school pub style and aroma; the ladies are upstairs.

Glad to have visited the once but nothing really to draw me back.
