Not quite the traditional local it used to be but still a popular pub by the look of it. Only 2 of the 4 handpumps in use and my Hobgoblin gold was drinkable but nothing special.
Still glad to have called in though.

Excellent traditional, unspoilt multi roomed local with 7 cask beers plus a cask cider and a couple of craft ales on tap at the far end of the bar.Cannot add much to the well described review by Ale Monster but was quite impressed with the stained glass the wooded floorboards and the large area at the rear which includes a bowling green.

Five handpumps in operation on our visit, so we went for the Three Tuns XXX which was a fine choice. The front room and bar was very busy on our visit so we opted for the rear lounge. This room had a lot of charm, with the William Morris design wallpaper, leaded stained glass bay window and a coal fire. There is also an outside bar and bowling green at the rear.
