A really poor Spoons, from the characterless long and narrow interior to the guest ale selection which was just two, one of which was Rev James, and mine from Milestone was a sub-par NBSS 2. Dumped and moved on, so notes sparse.

Large Spoons with the bar to the left side. Usual ales on offer. Couldn't find the toilets so had to use the disabled one (as did others). Standard type of place.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Packhorse Inn (JD Wetherspoon)
17th-century coaching inn that has reverted to its original name (having been known more recently as the Lion Hotel until reopened by Wetherspoons). Although little character remains inside, the three-part slightly split-level layout (with the bar in the centre) is pleasant enough in a semi-modern way. However, it was really only notable for having a particularly pedestrian selection from the two banks of five handpumps on the day I visited: Ruddles, Doom and Abbot plus Wells Eagle IPA, Courage Directors, Cocker Hoop (£2.15) and a cider.
