Cask here was Butty Bach and Felinfoel Double Dragon. Keg offering of Guinness, Nirvana AF, Felinfoel Double Dragon and their IPA version, Steady Rolling Man, Kicking Goat cider, Kellier Pilsner, Hawkstone lager, Braybrooke lager.

Recently reopened after a long closure and now a sister venue to their fabulous restaurant over in Cloth Fair at the other side of the City. Here, the bar to the left of the entrance from the outside courtyard is bare boarded with the bar counter ahead of the entrance. The two handpumps face the entrance and the taps on the longer edge of the bar counter have the annoying feature of not being labelled so you must ask what's on - hardly efficiency personified! There are four bench tables, three down the wall opposite the bar counter and one behind it. There is a leather bench along the rear window looking out onto the narrow alley behind serving a few regular tables. No screens, no music and just the chat of a mixed age (fully male on my visit) City crowd enjoying the venue being open again. Lighting is very ambient and the venue just oozes tradition from its every pore. The other bar, Amy's Bar, to the right of the entrance was closed on my early week visit just a day or so after the venue's re-opening, but has the same beer choices and is a small room, with the bar counter off the left-hand wall, no seating so just accommodating vertical drinking.
