Large A road junction/Deano estate pub - with a windmill! - which is in a good state of repair. The carved wood lower servery must be salvage as it appears clearly older than the pub. Sadly no cask on at all over the four polished silver pumps, so a Guinness in a mucky half glass had to do, served up by a pair of extremely upbeat and efficient young barmaids. Dog friendly and there was the clink of pool balls from somewhere in the building. In terms of Hinckley's outlier pubs, this is one of the better ones. 5.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Milestone
Modern Marston's pub / restaurant with a curious choice of name, given that the new buildings are attached to a rather striking (if fake, and scaled down) windmill... However, apart from that landmark, there is little else note, with the usual mix of various seating / dining areas, a beer garden and some children's play equipment. The real ale choice from the duplicated selection from the two banks of four handpumps turned out to be Pedigree, Hobgoblin and the seasonal Banks's Hopfest (£3.40).
