This is the only pub in the village of Offham. On my Wednesday evening visit, it was certainly quite popular. The interior is bare boarded with whitewashed stone walls. A guitar was hanging from one wall. There is limited drinking space around the central bar, which featured some plastic foliage. Locals were congregating in this area. There are seating areas at either end. A fireplace can be found at the right-hand end and a TV and sweet machine at the left-hand end. A dining room to the rear right was unoccupied and in darkness at 6:30pm. A few outdoor tables to the front were also proving popular and there is a small pub garden a little further up the road.

Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular cask ale. Guests were Butcombe Original & Tonbridge Traditional, the latter costing me £3 for a half. The cider was Inch's. The young barmaid was doing a good job of getting everybody served.

A pizza van was parked between the pub and the garden and I suspect that this was why there was no food being served in the pub and it seemed that the pizzas were providing the draw for most of the customers. Many were ordering and tucking into them in the pub and outside. I decided to follow suit and really enjoyed what I had.

Despite being quite basic, I thought this was a good example of a village local.
