Graham Coombs left this review about Ackroyd's

Formerly the Royal Oak (still visible on the door glazing) this is now more of a 'bar with rooms', smartly furnished and well looked after. Basically two rooms with a little bar in the centre, happily boasting a Saltaire Blonde handpump which provided a decent pint. On keg were the usual Amstel/Cruzcampo sort of things. There was a very friendly welcome and a nice feel to the place, even if most attention was being given to overnight guests arriving. Ignore the wine bar soubriquet - it is more pubby than many pubs, even down to having a dartboard and juke box, but only opens Thursday to Sunday. Not somewhere I would make a special trip to but I would be quite happy to revisit.

Never seen this wine bar place open, unsurprising as WhatPub says it only opens Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with one micro sourced beer so I may not have missed much.
