The Globe, Warwick

Owned by Oakman Inns this pub has a gastro feel and is a small hotel.The main entrance is off the rear courtyard where there is lots of external benches and tables.You enter into a lounge area with modern furniture and decor,to the right a section with a pizza oven and then a side section with upholstered seating .To the left of the bar are the loos,hotel reception and a set for dining restaurant.The muzak was rather annoying in the lounge but the welcome friendly.Alongside standard kegs two handpumps were drawing Fullers Dark Star APA (clear but tang developed as the pint sank,NBSS 2.5) and Olivers Island. Having initially warmed to the pub on entrance,I concluded there was no reason to return with better ale houses a mere spit away.

A modern gastropub. The pub is in 3 parts with a front area used mainly for dining, a middle narrow part and a rear area where you will find the bar. An outside area is also to the rear. 4 real ales on but sadly they were standard nationals.
