On a pub research trip to uttoxeter I had arranged to rejoin my two drinking comanions after a quick dash to tick the Dapple Grey on the edge of town, so they arrived at the Bank House before me and were able to inform me the the local beer from Mr Grundy's was off. Unfortunately it looked like the Pedigree was destined to soon join it. This is a hotel-type bar, and as with many of this type, real ale is not what they base their offering on. It's a neglected afterthought. After my experience here I shall probably be neglecting the Bank House for several years, if not forever.
