Attractive looking building. It's a fairly basic place inside with amusingly mismatched decor and St George's flags. Kudos to whoever picked the carpet though. Noted an unusual wood stack lower servery. A pair of cask on from GK and Milestone; I had a half of the GK Dandy Hen which clearly was the first out for a long while and in a grubby glass but was at least looked-after underneath the shabby veneer (NBSS 2) - the pub is listed in the 2027 which is pretty amazing. The mature barmaid was really welcoming and chatty which is never a given. It feels like a place that's running on a shoestring but for a swift pre-train half it was fine. Oh and a mention of the gents – incredible orange tiling, it was like having a wee in the middle of a satsuma.

I believe this to be a one room pub but could be wrong. Pool table and dartboard. Bar to rear left. After I got served I spotted three hand pumps but owing to the people at the bar I couldn't say what they were.

The White Horse is just off the shopping area and it is on the corner of a busy road junction.
This pub looked decent enough from the outside and once inside it had one long room with the bar on the right there was a pool table in the middle of the room and a dart board to the left,the room was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating with small stools.
There was only one real ale on the bar i had a drink of Greene King IPA and this was a very poor tired drink.
I thought this was a nice comfortable pub but it was a shame about the beer not tasting right.
