Colin Walker left this review about Alfie's
Alfie's Sports Bar (formerly Alfredo's) is one of few remaining pubs in Glasgow that open early hours. "Alcohol is only available early hours when taking the breakfast." They are open at 8:00am from Monday to Saturday, they are one of the few city centre bars where you can grab an early breakfast alongside a morning drink while catching early horse racing or sports broadcasts. Opening times are Mon to Fri 8:00am to 12:00am, Sat:00am to 1:00am & Sun 11:00am to 12:00am. As it’s a sport bar the bar hits its peak busy times on Saturday afternoons and evenings, aligned with major football fixtures and their weekend karaoke nights. At the time of visiting very late Aug 226 the beers on tap were – Carling – Rekorderlig Strawberry & Lime – Madri – Tennent’s – Caledonia Best – Guinness – Stella Artois – Poretti – Strongbow Original Cider – Caffrey’s Premier Ale – Murphy’s Irish Stout – Guinness 0.0.

Strongers . left this review about Alfredo's Bar
Now called Alfie’s Sports Bar, the entrance opens onto a long and thin laminate floored seating area where small tables and stools run up the right and three large booths the left. At the rear tiled steps climb to an inviting tile floored bar area with a large central curved U-shaped serving counter. Banquettes with tables run around the bar walls and televisions are located throughout for watching sport. These were all airing muted horse racing and Sky Sports News while some background music played for the Monday after work crowd in attendance. Standard keg was available alongside Birra Moretti and Madri from the polite bar staff. This place certainly wasn’t what I was expecting as I approached so I’d revisit if passing.

I noticed today that above the Alfredo’s sign it said Alfie’s Sports & Whisky Bar. I wonder if that means a change of name. We’ll see.
